Many teachers go to school, teach their classes, and go home. Very few dedicate as much time and expertise to their students as Tim Bosque. During his 26 years of teaching, Bosque not only taught multiple levels of math, but he also coached the football team and participated in department initiatives to enrich his students’ educational experience.

Bosque began his educational career after completing programs at the University of California at San Diego and San Francisco State University. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Teaching Credential in Mathematics. He began teaching at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California, teaching all levels of math from basic to advanced.

During his time at Tamalpais High School from 1985 to 1988, Bosque helped explain difficult concepts to his students in an easy to understand manner. He also taught at San Rafael High School from 1989 to 1997, helping to develop tutoring programs and developing curriculum with English Language Development programs to benefit students who did not speak English.

Tim Bosque ended his teaching career at Terra Linda High School in San Rafael, California. He served on curriculum committees to help make math easier for students, as well as serving as the Math Department Chair. In addition, Bosque was a director in the tutoring programs to benefit his students. He has won multiple awards for his commitment to his students, including the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Educational Service Award. Bosque also won the Terra Linda High School “You Make a Difference” Award three times: 1999, 2005, and 2010.
